Oh So Suite is a design company for the modern age. Specializing in custom stationery, invitations, pattern design and all things paper. Kate Capone, the owner has brought her experience in event production, her education in design and her love for all things craft into one place where she approaches each project with a fresh eye and takes the utmost care to produce hand-crafted quality projects. Kate has met a lot of great printers, designers, writers, artists, photographers, marketers and producers in her journeys. She considers all these great people a part of her team as she calls upon them for their expertise in each project she works on.
Get to know Kate:
After attending several prestigious art schools Kate began her career at a publishing house assisting in the production of fabulous high end-events. Soon after she moved into the creative department there and then onto an experiential marketing firm where she was the art director. These days, Kate can be found at any given time experimenting with new paper samples + inks, sketching, painting, printing on her kelsey tabletop letterpress, scouring flea markets with her husband or in her home office working on any number of projects. Email Kate here and ask her about a custom project. It's her favorite thing to do!
Kate's kind of into crafts, too.
Yep, Kate was totally the kid that made her own holiday ornaments, fashioned her own valentine's and she was always the first in line at the "art trailer" at summer camp. Both sides of Kate's family were into crafts too. Her mom's grandparents owned their own craft store and her other Grandmother worked at a fabulous fabric store. From the earliest age she can remember paper maching clothespins to create santa claus ornaments, watching a quilt magically come together, sewing scraps together to make a gorgeous wreath or learning how to make an old-fashioned loop rug. All totally random knowledge to gather at the time, but truly priceless now.
Past Projects:
At this point Kate is turning into a Jack(ie) of all trades. She's worked on more than two dozen custom invitation suites for truly unique and amazing brides. She's worked with large corporations on graphics for launch events and internal sales events. She's worked with fashion houses on in-store windows and promotional materials and has done several logo and branding projects.
Where the passion lies...
Kate's passion lies within the stationery and craft industry. She visits several local craft stores several times a week and rarely leaves empty-handed. She is a lover of all things handmade. Recently she has begun turning her sketchbooks into lovely patterns that she hopes to develop into a stationery line. Interested in seeing her current catalog?
