We just finished up a great custom project for a lovely wedding happening next weekend! A lovely bride and groom. And the perfect invitation suite to accent their special day. Letterpress printed with a mink grey ink on the most luxurious Arturo deckled edge pale pink paper. These are just stunning. One of our favorite projects this year! Congrats Chloe and Geo!

I thought it might be nice to do this with different shell types and locales every summer. I also plan to make a few extra for our hosts, a lovely thank you gift me thinks. easy enough to make, purchase a shadow box (this one is 8×8 whitewashed) and layout your shells on a nice textured piece of paper (this is arches watercolor paper) and when you’re happy with the layout go ahead and adhere (I used hot glue). Be sure to neatly pencil in where and when you gathered your collection. Assemble frame and hang or gift. happy friday.

However, I don’t really love them in reality. For instance, when I see someone with an actual real home grown mustache, I get a little skeeved out….sorry, for any friends that have one. But really, can that be comfortable. So let me rephrase…I love fake mustaches, especially these Old Thomas versions from Pavel Sidorenko. It’s hard to get the fake mustache right and there are quite a few stupid versions. But I think the proportions on this are just right.

Unfortunately I won’t be in town for the NYC dinner. But here’s how I imagine it feeling….enter to a mile long table set simply with linen cloths, sparkling glassware, vintage silverware and twinkling candlelight. The smell of local delicacies wafts through the air and a waiter in a crisp white apron over laid back pedestrian clothes presents me with a juicy glass of red. A crisp breeze reminds me of autumn and we sit to enjoy great conversation about all the local food being placed before us and cheers to this amazing moment in time. So, has anyone been and want to share what it’s really like? Til next season, cheers to OITF.
