The simplicity of snow covered pinecones nested in a large glass vase is just lovely. I made these the week after Thanksgiving to add just a bit of winter to the home…My initial plan was to tuck them in our Christmas tree once we got it. Until then I displayed them in this big glass vase. But they look to perfect in the vase, so there they stayed in all their festiveness! TO MAKE: simply paint on some glue (I used modge podge) to the edges of the pinecones – thinking of where snow would naturally lay if it fell on the pinecones. Then simply choose your favorite glitter (I used crystal size glitter so it looked more like flakes than the glitter dust.) Let dry, dust off loose crystals and wa-la! A perfect winter decoration you can display well after the holidays have passed.
