Winter Scene

Winter Display

Warm up a cozy corner in your home with this super simple winter table scheme. Most of the supplies can be found in your front yard (unless you’re a city dweller like me, then collect all your goods while you visit family over the holidays!) Or visit your local garden supply store and craft store and pick up:

8-12 medium size branches (these are pussy willow branches with no buds)
3-4 vessels in various sizes
12-15 vintage chandelier crystals
Pinecones
candles and candle holders
yarn or string and scissors

Start by laying out your branches and arrange your vases – I like to put the larger one towards the back. Add in your branches. Add a little warmth to some of the branches by wrapping them in yarn. I choose an off-white with flacks of brown. Just do a few. Next add your chandelier crystals to some branches. Keep in mind the vintage crystals are heavy, so they’ll need to be supported by the larger heavier branches. Position candlesticks on each side and then add in your vase of snow covered pine cones. Take a step back and make sure it looks balanced and if you were able to find some larger pine cones, lay them in front for some added dimension. This lovely display will look great through to Valentine’s Day! View more images here.
